Macon celebrated Juneteenth with a variety of events, including the 32nd annual Juneteenth Festival at Tattnall Square Park on June 15 and a second annual parade downtown the next day. Local government offices were closed on June 19 in honor of the new national holiday, which broadly recognizes emancipation in the U.S.
