Macon public school region tournaments: Brackets, score updates and more
The Southwest boys and Westside girls both earned the No. 1 seeds in their respective region tournaments.

Macon’s GHSA region tournament schedules were finalized this weekend after schools played their final games of the regular season Friday.
Two teams, the Southwest boys and Westside girls, earned the No. 1 seeds in their respective regions and earned byes, locking them into games later in the week.
The Region 2-A Division I region, which contains Southwest, ACE, Central and Northeast, has the most complicated bracket structure.
Here’s a breakdown of where Macon teams are playing in the schedules below. The Melody will update this schedule with scores and present matchups as the tournament progresses this week.
Class A-Division I, Region 2 – Girls bracket:
MONDAY: #9 Southwest 47, #8 Dodge County 29
TUESDAY:
Southwest @ #5 Bleckley County 6 p.m.
#6 ACE vs. #7 Dublin, 6 p.m.
WEDNESDAY:
#4 Northeast vs. winner of Bleckley County/SW, 6 p.m.
#3 Central vs. winner of ACE/Dublin, 6 p.m.
