Administration
Joshua Wilson
Executive Editor
Joshua is the executive editor of The Macon Melody. He also serves on the leadership team of the newsroom’s parent organization, the Georgia Trust for Local News. Before relocating to the Peach State in 2025 from his native Mississippi, he helped launch the Roy Howard Community Journalism Center at The University of Southern Mississippi, taught college journalism and media literacy courses, and led the Mississippi Business Journal, The Pine Belt News and Signature Magazine. He has been a community journalist and editor for two decades. Joshua holds an M.B.A. and bachelor’s degree from William Carey University and a graduate certificate in economic development from Southern Miss. He lives in West Macon with his best bud and feline house manager Henry.
Janisha Rozier
Operations and Special Projects Associate
Janisha Rozier is a Middle Georgia native and graduate of Twiggs County High School and Central Georgia Technical College. She serves as our operations and special projects associate, helping manage daily newsroom operations, reader support, obituary workflows, digital scheduling and other initiatives. Before stepping into this role, Janisha worked as our circulation and office clerk. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son.
Colleen McMillar
Editorial Consultant
A veteran reporter and editor, Colleen is a native Maconite who works with Melody leadership and newsroom staff on reporting projects.
Cal Lundmark
Audience and Digital Advisor
Cal, an experienced social media editor and audience growth specialist, works with Melody leadership on digital endeavors and supports audience growth initiatives for The Melody and its parent, the Georgia Trust for Local News.

Micah Johnston
Sports Editor
Micah Johnston is our sports and newsletter editor. A Macon native, he graduated from Central High School and then Mercer University. He worked at The Telegraph as a general assignment, crime and sports reporter before joining The Melody. When he’s not fanatically watching baseball or reading sci-fi and Stephen King novels, he’s creating and listening to music.
Evelyn Davidson
Features Editor
Evelyn Davidson is our features editor and previously served as a community reporter for The Melody. A Richmond, Virginia, native, Evelyn graduated from Christopher Newport University, where she spent two years as news editor and one as editor-in-chief of The Captain’s Log. She has also written for the Henrico Citizen and The Virginia Gazette. When she’s not editing or reporting, Evelyn enjoys nail art, historical fiction and Doctor Who.
Casey Choung
Community Reporter
Casey is a community reporter for The Melody. He grew up in Long Island, New York, and also lived in Orlando, Florida, before relocating to Macon. A graduate of Boston University, he worked at The Daily Free Press student newspaper. His work has also appeared on GBH News in Boston and in the Milford, Massachusetts, Daily News. When he’s not reporting, he enjoys cooking — but more so eating — and playing basketball.
Laura E. Corley
Senior Reporter
Laura is our senior reporter. Born in Macon, her bylines have appeared in Georgia news outlets for more than a decade. She is a graduate of Mercer University. Her work — which focuses on holding people and institutions with power responsible for their actions — is funded by a grant from the Peyton Anderson Foundation. Laura enjoys strong coffee, a good mystery, fishing and gardening.
Jason Vorhees
Photographer
Jason is our photographer. An award-winning journalist, he has spent more than 25 years capturing the sights, sounds and people of Middle Georgia. He lives in Macon with his wife, Brandi, and their sons Cooper and Evan. Jason is an avid sports fan and bourbon aficionado.
