Parents lined up as early as 6 a.m. at the Ed Defore Sports Complex for a school supply giveaway Aug. 2. Hundreds of volunteers helped hand out backpacks, school supplies, hygiene products and uniform shirts along with community resources during the drive-thru event.

An aerial view of a sports complex surrounded by dense green forest. The complex includes a football stadium with "Bibb County" written on the field and a track surrounding it. Adjacent to the stadium are additional fields for soccer and baseball. The parking lot is filled with numerous cars, including a line of vehicles with colorful tents beside them, and a pair of yellow school buses parked nearby. A small pond and tree-lined pathways are visible on the right side of the image.
Two smiling young women are holding boxes of Dial soap and a welcome sign. They are wearing black T-shirts that read "LET'S GO HUSKIES" with a megaphone graphic. The sign one of them holds says, "WE'VE MISSED YOU! WELCOME BACK!" with the hashtag #BUILT4BIBB and the logo "B4B" on it. The background is blurred with green foliage and a chain-link fence.
