Three Macon private schools earn No. 1 seeds in baseball and soccer playoffs
FPD, Stratford and Central Fellowship all earned the top spot in their state tournament brackets.
The GIAA begins its postseason this week, and several Macon teams are in the fray for baseball and soccer.
An impressive trio of Macon teams — FPD baseball, Stratford girls soccer and CFCA girls soccer — all earned the No. 1 seeds in their respective tournaments.
All told, there will be 14 different teams from seven different schools in the playoffs. Five teams will get a bye because they have top-five seeds in their respective brackets.
All games — and series, for the baseball tournament — are scheduled to begin Friday. See which teams made the playoffs below. Times for playoff matchups will be added as they are announced.
