We are a new local newsroom that connects you to the whole story of Macon-Bibb County. Nonprofit and independent, we believe that news organizations — especially now — serve their community best when they are deeply involved in it.
Like you, we live, work and play here. We know Middle Georgia, and our reporting illuminates and celebrates the people and events that make this area unique. Heck, we even print our paper here. (And we have a great website, too.)

Starting a print and digital newspaper in 2024 is a bold move (Some might say crazy). So why are we doing it? Because Macon deserves a community newspaper dedicated to covering local news.
I built a talented newsroom of savvy vets and bright young talent that will tackle complex issues, going beyond rewritten press releases and shallow lists to deliver informative, engaging and entertaining news in context. Stories that help you make decisions, that uplift, that connect you to our community.
We’ll deliver news however you want to receive it, from custom newsletters to videos to our dynamic website, although I’m the most excited about our print product. There’s just something special about holding a bit of history in your hands. Especially when it’s proudly Made in Macon.
